Don’t Give Up

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

When trouble shows up in our lives, it is sometimes accompanied by pain that feels unbearable. When we are suffering, it helps to remember that the pain we experience in this world does not last always. Although we will experience discomfort and discouragement in this life, God’s Word promises that at the proper time, we will bring in a harvest if we don’t give up (Galatians 6:9).

Three Things

2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

It’s not too late. God still desires you. You can find your way back into His will. If you would do three things, God will bless you in three ways. If you become humble, seek God through prayer and turn away from sin, God will hear your prayers, forgive your sins and heal your soul. Turn back to the Lord and He will deliver you.

Planted by Streams

Psalm 1:2-3 (KJV)

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

When we live out God’s Word and do His will, we will be like the flourishing tree planted by streams. Our thirst will be quenched and we will be continually refreshed. God will make our way prosperous when His Word is hidden in our hearts. God Bless.

One of a Kind Blessings

John 3:27 (NLT)

“John replied, “No one can receive anything unless God gives it from heaven.”

Have you ever known someone who you thought was really successful and wondered why not you? Sometimes, you may even think that other people are luckier than you or have greater access to opportunities. If we are not careful, a spirit of jealousy can creep into our hearts.

However, there is no need for us to envy the blessings of our neighbors. John 3:27 tells us that all blessings are given by God in His sovereignty. God provides for each of us exactly what we need.

God’s master plan is to bring about His divine purpose. Each of us has a unique part to play. Embrace the gifts and blessings that God has bestowed upon your life because nothing is received except through the perfect providence of God. To God be all the glory!

Can’t Get No Satisfaction

Beach Sunset

Ecclesiastes 2:26 NIV
To the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God.

Have you ever felt that you just cannot rest well? You might be in bed, trying to sleep but your mind just keeps spinning. As we toil on this earth, we are placed in environments of high pressure and demands. Often, we carry tension from being in these environments home with us, long after we have left the place of pressure. Sometimes it may seem as though, no matter what we do, we are not satisfied. We cannot rest.

I believe that God desires for us to have rest and peace. In spite of the environments that we may be placed in, if we turn our thoughts, mind and spirit to God, He will provide us with rest. If we strive to put our trust and hope in God, His word says that He will provide us with wisdom, knowledge and happiness.

Earthly business will not satisfy us. Many times, it will just make us weary. Although, for most of us, we must endure our business, God can and will provide us with the satisfaction we seek if we keep our eyes on Him. Despite whatever is consuming your thoughts, trust in God and seek God always. It is only what we humbly accept from the hand of God that will bring us peace. Believe that God is with you, wants to bless you, wants you to be in peace in all environments and wants you to be happy. Striving to please God is the way to satisfaction.
